1) Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
A fast-paced team-based FPS.
Reminiscent of Left 4 Dead in space - that appears to be chock full of 40k
themed hordes to smash and blast your way through. Developed by Fat Shark, the
team behind Vermintide, it is set for release September 13th, 2022. After being
delayed twice already, here's hoping it doesn't get pushed back again. It is
releasing as a Microsoft exclusive, being restricted to Xbox consoles, Game
Pass and PCs.

2) The Callisto Protocol
Striking Distance Studios' The
Callisto Protocol is the next game to look out for. Being a spiritual successor to
Dead Space, this single player horror seems as though it may actually fill that
Dead Space 4 void. A survival horror set in a prison on Jupiter's moon,
Callisto - hence the name - overflowing with blood, guts, and terrifying monsters. Striking Distance is headed by Glen Schofield,
previously an Executive Producer on Dead Space - so the game does have decent
direction behind it. We'll find out just how well, when it arrives December
2nd, 2022.

3) Resident Evil 4 Remake
The third entry in Capcom's
long-awaited remake of Resident Evil 4. The reimagining of a classic game, that helped to shape the
industry into what it is today. RE4 has been completely rebuilt, from the ground up, in
the RE Engine. Not much has been revealed yet, however if the recent Resident
Evil remakes are anything to go by, this'll be a game well worth your time.
Unfortunately we've still got to wait a while for this one, as it will not be
arriving until March 24th, 2023.
4) God Of War Ragnarök
The follow up to the
ground-breaking God Of War (2018) - Ragnarök continues the story of Kratos and
Atreus as they clobber their way through Norse mythology. This time, they must
try to prevent the world-ending Ragnarök event, that continually draws ever
closer. While also discovering more regarding Atreus' true identity. It's a
father and son road trip that's guaranteed to pack just as much heart as it
does wallop. At time of writing, the release date is being teased for November
2022. Though no official date has been given. This will be a PlayStation
exclusive title. Though, as the first game has recently released on PC, this
sequel will undoubtedly follow suit in the future.
5) S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chernobyl
Very little is known about
this title, except that it is a first-person survival horror with plenty of
gunplay. It's basically Metro, but not quite - a sort of serious Fallout. It is
being developed by Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, the same that produced the
original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. titles. However, due to the ongoing conflict in
Ukraine, release has been pushed back. Initially slated for 8th December 2022,
the studio has since confirmed a new release date some time in 2023. Once
again, this is a Microsoft exclusive title and will be available on; PC, Xbox
consoles and Game Pass.
